Who should apply?

A Bachelor's Degree (10+2+4) of Engineering from a recognized university, with not less than 60% overall aggregate marks. Students appearing for the final year examinations may also apply.

Selection Process

The selection process of PGDM 4.0 involves three steps:

CAT/XAT/GMAT/ MHCET / KCET Scores

Each candidate has to take at least one of the exams: CAT/XAT/GMAT/KCET(For Harihar)/ MHCET(for Pune).

KIM Admission Test (KIMAT)

KIMAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT). Each candidate who applies for PGDM 4.0 Program at KIM with CAT/XAT/GMAT/MHCET/KCET will be called for KIMAT, subject to their application form being complete and accepted by KIM.

Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)

Based on their performance in the CAT/XAT/GMAT/ MHCET/KCET and KIM Admission Test (KIMAT), candidates are shortlisted for Group Discussion(GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

KIM Admission Test (KIMAT)

KIM Admissions Test (KIMAT) is KIM's mandatory entrance exam for PGDM 4.0, which applicants are expected to take in addition to having appeared in one of these examinations: CAT/XAT/GMAT/KCET/MHCET

KIMAT uses Psychometric profiling to assess the fit between the candidate and a career in the Digital Transformation & Industrial Automation Management domains. It is a qualifier for further sections to be evaluated in the test.

Based on CAT/XAT/GMAT/ KCET/MHCET and KIMAT scores, candidates are further shortlisted and invited for the final round of selection: Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). The GD offers a platform to assess a candidates personality, clarity in thought and ability to work in a team. The PI helps understand a candidates knowledge, determination, maturity, and fit in the culture of KIM and the industries to which it caters.

Admission Pattern

A candidate is shortlisted on the basis of the overall rank computed taking into account of the following components and their weights as defined by AICTE:
