Dr. C.N. Narayana has more than 28 years of experience in the field of management both from the Corporate and Higher Management education. Dr. Narayana was associated with renowned corporate houses like Godrej Group, General Electric, Thermax Ltd., Xerox Corporation and RPG Enterprises holding various senior positions handling Finance, Commercials, Planning & Analysis, Corporate Assurance and Human Resources before embarking on his journey of higher management education. He was a Professor and Registrar till March 2013 at International Management Institute, New Delhi -contributing to the growth of the institute. He then, joined Institute of Finance and International Management (IFIM), Bangalore as a Professor of HRM and Director for CDL. Apart from teaching he was instrumental in establishing the centre for innovation bringing idea generator suite for students and bringing academic and industry close .He is a Commerce graduate, a post graduate in marketing Management and Ex. MBA and a Ph.D., in Human Resources Management from Canterbury University, U.K.

Dr. C.N. Narayana is an avid reader and involved in industry related research. As a Professor, he imparts practical applications to equip the management graduates, so that they are industry ready and employable. He has to his credit, several international papers in Journals like – International Journal for Strategic Management, published by California State University USA and International Academy for Business and Economics (IABE), USA. He also chaired Sessions in Strategic Summit in IABE Conference both in Los Vegas and Florida in 2008 and 2013 respectively. He is also in the Editorial Board of Paper Reviewers in IABE. He is an active member in NHRD- Network, contributing industry experience and academic inputs to various programs conducted by NHRDN. He was also a core committee member for International Accreditation (AMBA) at IMI and SAQS Review Committee of IMI. He has also reviewed several management research papers and books published by several authors contributing in Global Business Research (GBR), published by SAGE International and IMI. He has contributed several articles in the field of management in newspapers and magazines. The recent one which includes “MBA @ cross Roads” and “Online Education, Bigger and Better” Apart from his passion for management education, he has natural inclination and interest to spirituality. Dr. C.N. Narayana’s book “Silent Messages for soul searching” and “The inner sojourn” focused on higher level leadership qualities which include understanding the self before understanding the external world. These books received very positive response from the West. He was also a mentor for several student clubs.

Dr. Janaki Naik, Director has more than 22 years’ experience in the Teaching field, she joined KIAMS on 1st June 2002. After spending 8 years in Harihar Campus, she moved to Pune in April 2010 to lead the new establishment of KIAMS at Pune. Dr. Janaki has done Post Graduation in Commerce with M.Phil in HR and Ph. D in Organizational Behavior.

She has been a part of few National and International level paper presentations. She has also guided many projects at Masters Level, - MBA and MPM. She holds professional membership in two organizations. She has won the “UGC Research Fellowship – JRF/SRF” award. She has been Project evaluator, trainer for ISTD.

She is a trainer in the area of soft skills, HR and competency mapping and assessment. She is a trained assessor for the Business Excellence Awards viz. CII-EXIM and RKQP. She also designs and conducts assessment center for the Kirloskar Group of Companies.

Dr. Revathi Iyer has more than 34 years’ experience in teaching. She was a part of the new school syllabus chaired by Dr. Anil Ganguly for revamping the accounting and English syllabus For CBSE Schools in 2002. She was also associated with Brickworks rating agency for rating commercial banks. She has been associated with management education and has chaired various committees in the management school most importantly as Chairperson Academics and as the core member of the quality team .She was an associate editor in the FOCUS research magazine and has arranged two international conferences of “Doing business In India”

Avery prolific writer she has contributed to the revamping and updations of two very important financial scenarios in India. The business valuation book by the international association of Valuers and to the IFRS.

Dr. V.B. Padmanabhan is a highly accomplished professional with over 34 years of experience in banking & finance industry. He has started his career in Banking, beginning with Syndicate Bank, one of the leading nationalized bank in the country. He gradually elevated himself to various positions of responsibility, the last of which was Chief Manager of the Bank. Apart from Syndicate Bank he has also had positions of responsibility in Development Credit Bank, Sangli Bank which are banks in the private sector and also Cosmos Co-operative bank, a multi state co-operative bank.

While in the bank apart from the operations he is well trained in Advances and Foreign operations, handling Import and Export trade, remittances, foreign currency, Fixing of foreign currency rates for different operations. He has worked in small, medium, urban, and metropolitan centres as Manager/Chief Manager of the bank, in different branches all over India. He was in charge of disbursement of ‘United Nations Compensation’ for Indian citizens returning from Kuwait, immediately after the Kuwait war during 1991 while in Syndicate Bank. He has obtained several awards for deposit mobilisation, priority sector lending and corporate lending. He has attended several Foreign exchange workshops throughout India and made significant contribution. Amongst his many a responsible roles at leading banking & financial institutions across the nation, his stint as Chief Manager at Sangli Bank's Bangalore branch stands out.

As far as academics is concerned, he has worked in reputed Management institutions viz. Don Bosco Engineering & Management College, Wigan & Leigh college (India), International Institute of Business studies (IIBS), International School of Business & Media (ISB&M) and lastly International School of Business & Research (ISBR). He has also associated with Jain Group of Institutions, ICFAI, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, International Bank for Management & Research (IBMR), IBMR (IBS), (Koramangala). He was Academic Chair person at International School of Business & Media (ISB&M) during 2013-14 at Niduvanda, Bangalore.

Dr. Suresh Garimella has over 30 years 0f work experience, which includes Management Teaching, Sales & Marketing, Consultancy, Research & Development and Academic Administration. His areas of teaching interest include Distribution, Services Marketing, Brand Management, Rural Marketing and Theory of Marketing. In addition to Marketing Dr. Suresh also takes interest in the role ‘Education’ in social change. He has published cases and articles in periodicals of repute. As part of his teaching he has designed a number of case-lets and learning tools covering various domains in Marketing. He was actively involved in Case Teaching Advocacy and Project Driven learning as part of pedagogical innovation.

Dr. Suresh has also taught at institutes of National eminence like IIM Indore, IIM Raipur, IIM Sambhalpur, NMIMS, MANAGE, TISS, ASCI as a Visiting Faculty Member. He was also a resource person for the ISB Goldman Sachs women entrepreneurship program.

Dr. Suresh during his academic career was associated with Reputed Institutes like SP Jain, ICFAI, NIPER, Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management and IMT Hyderabad. His stint with corporate sector was with Wockhardt and Dr. Reddy’s Labs. He was the General Manager with T.I.M.E and was in charge of Material Development & Training.

Prof. Abilash Ramani worked as a Business Analyst in Cognizant technology Solutions before becoming a full-time academic. During the former stint, he worked in various domains such as Insurance, Travel & Hospitality. In an Insurance-domain Software Testing project, he developed an Excel-based application that automated premium calculation. This calculation acted as a quick “Expected” reference point for testers to later test the web application in a development environment. As a Business Analyst, he has helped improve proposals through input in the areas of business and user-experience.

After moving to academics, Abilash has consistently obtained good student feedback while teaching in the areas of Operations, and MIS. The courses he has majorly taught are Operations Research, Solving Subjective problems, and Healthcare IS.

Dr. Alok Jain has nearly two and half decades’ experience in higher education as a professor, director and senior administrator. He is a corporate advisor, trainer, speaker and writer.

He was the founder-program head of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad’s PGPX (one year MBA). It was ranked 11th in UK’s Financial Times Global MBA ranking in 2011 and 2012 under his stewardship.

He has also served as Director at NMIMS Deemed-to-be University Mumbai and Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai.

He has taught Integrated Business Communication, Marketing, Business Communication, Sales & Distribution, International Business and Business Policy at reputed Indian institutions like EDI, NID, NIFT, MICA and ICAI.

Prof Roygupta is currently associated with Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies as Program Director (Business Analytics and Corporate Relations). He has worked with University of Petroleum & Energy Studies as Vice President (Institutional Affairs) and Director- Western Region, International Institute of Information Technology Pune as Vice President (International Relations and Special Projects), Chief Operating Officer, Dean (Russia Programs) and Faculty, ICFAI Business School as Faculty. He was associated as a Consultant with E&Y, Chief Technology Advisor of Paarijat Software Pvt Ltd, Pune, an IT product and consulting company and also with Gold Leaf Corporation, Pune, a consulting company for the core sector industries.

Prof Roygupta has designed, coordinated and conducted various MDP and training programs for a number of companies, i.e. HPCL, BPCL, Oil India Ltd, ONGC, Tata Power, Exide, British Gas, Century Extrusion, TML, TISCO, NML, Indian Aluminum, IEL, ITC, CCL, SBI, Bata, Gallagher, Finolex, SAIL, HCL, PCS etc.

Prof. Danappa Pattar submitted his Ph. D thesis at Gulbarga University, Gulbarga on the research topic “Information Literacy among the rural community of Hyderabad Karnataka region: A study”. Dr. Pai has over 28 years of work experience. He has conducted research in the field of Strategic Management (guided 3 Ph. D scholars successfully, completed an ICSSR, New Delhi funded research project and published several research papers). His publications, which number over 80, have appeared in refereed journals both in India and abroad (Business Case Journal, USA, Asian Case Research Journal, Singapore, Review of Integrative Business and Economics Research, Bangkok, Decision-IIMC, IIMB Management Review, Vikalpa-IIMA, etc), business magazines (Commerce, Effective Executive, Marketing Mastermind, etc) and national business news papers (The Economic Times, Business Line, etc). Dr. D.N. Murthy, Senior Professor, has more than 23 years’ experience in the Teaching, consulting and research. Post his Ph.D. in Strategic Marketing Management from Bangalore University, he has conducted his Post-Doctoral Research from Fosters Business School, University of Washington, Seattle, USA. With a long years of experience in industry and academia, he has been a consultant for United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) in implementing Business Clusters Project concept in India for machine tool SMEs. He has conducted several MDPs for leading corporates like Apple Inc, Rockwell Automation, Videocon, Emerson engineering among others. Dr. Bidyanand Jha is a blend of industry expertise and academic expertise in Marketing and Sales. Dr. Nagaraj B.V completed his Post Graduation in Statistics topping Kuvempu University for the year 1996 with OR & SQC as specialization.

He has industry exposure of about 5+ years. Soon after his MSc, he started his career as a CNC Machinist at Mysore Kirloskar Ltd., Harihar for a short duration of 4 months followed by a post of Executive - QA/QC at Katra Phytochem, Bangalore (Works-Telegi) a start up 100% EOU involved in Marigold natural color extraction process.

Hemchand Mallya has varied experience in the banking sector having joined initially a Bank in the Private Sector and subsequently a major public sector bank. He has more than a decade of experience in Retail Banking having worked at all levels in the Management cadre including Branch Manager with independent lending powers.
