Ms. Saumya Ambastha, Mr. Ananth P Hegde and Mr. Pankaj Kumar won 'Best Paper in Young Scholar Category' for their research paper titled "Electric Vehicles in India: Benefits, Current Market Scenario, Challenges" in ATHENAEUM 2018, VIII International Conference on Contemporary Management Research organized by Centre for Contemporary Management Research (CECMAR) of Bharthidasan Institute of Management (BIM) Trichy, held on 9th and 10th February, 2018.
They also won prize money of Rs. 10,000/-. There were 22 contenders in their category from different institutes, reputed amongst them being:
Shreya Srivastava and Akhil Yaminedi won the First Prize in the Inter College “Business Strategy” competition Bizzomania 2017 Organized by Acharya Bangalore Business School. There were 23 competing teams in the event from various renowned institution. The competition challenged our thinking capabilities but at the same time nudged us to give our best.
SIBM-ASMA National conference was hosted at SIBM Hyderabad in association with FMA Digital and powered by Symbiosis International University. 35 papers were presented along with 4 workshops conducted by eminent personalities. 6 students from KIAMS presented their research paper in this conference on the theme of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Text Mining and Digital Marketing. The authors and theme were the following.

Amit Kumar and Mahima Kumari participated in the Intercollege Fest NAISSANCE’18 at SDMIMD Mysore and won First Prize in the human resource competition. To be able to compete and win against teams from reputed B-schools has given the students immense happiness and confidence to go ahead.
“Stay Hungry Stay Foolish” was organized on 27-28 January 2018 to enable students to showcase their Marketing acumen. The anchor was a visiting faculty who is an executive from the Mahindra & Mahindra Group.
Students went for industrial visit to Jindal Steel Works, Toranagallu, Karnataka to study operations of a large manufacturing unit. JSW is the largest single unit manufacturer of Steel in India with a capacity of over 10 million tons of steel per annum.

Sandip Ghose, Director, National Institute of Securities and Market (NISM). Shri. K Sukumaran gave a brief idea on ‘Economic Reforms and Indian Capital Market’. It helped to understand the present scenario of the Indian capital Market. On the other hand Shri. Sandip Ghose delivered a lecture on ‘Enhancing Effectiveness’ and valuable interview tips.
