“Being at KIAMS was like being a part of mini India because we had people from diverse cultures in our batch. It was amazing to interact and learn from each one of them. It probably was the most awesome aspect of studying at our institute for me,” says Priyanka student of B17, as she looks back on her Convocation Day. According to her, it’s an important landmark in her life but it’s also the day she is filled with mixed emotions. Here she takes stock of her two years at the institute and what she has gained from her experience.
Talking of all the joys that this important day in her life has brought her Priyanka says, “Yes it feels like a huge achievement in many regards. Now we have graduated from an esteemed institute and gone through the academic rigour that it is known for. It has been a rollercoaster ride but we have been through it successfully. Getting our certificates from big names is also a proud moment.” But at the same time she is aware of the fact that it’s her last day on her beloved campus and that has brought a tinge of sadness.
But there is a lot to look forward to for Priyanka as she has been placed with Magnasoft in Bangalore. Not only is it a prestigious placement for her but the good news is that many of her batch mates have been placed in the Garden city as well. “It is so amazing that things have worked out like that. It will give us an opportunity to meet and share our experiences. We plan to meet as much as possible and we will definitely do something for the New Years,” she rattles off her plans, filled with excitement.
Priyanka admits that the students of her institute are no strangers to celebrations. They have celebrated birthdays together and different festivals, which only brought them closer. That’s why her two years at the institute are filled with good memories that she will cherish for long. “My batch mates stood by me with every decision I took as an AR. They were a huge support system for me. They say it’s never about the place but about the people. Well, the people in KIAMS are simply amazing,” she concluded.
