Damini Pustake, PGDM Batch 2016 – 18 is reveling in the opportunities KIAMS has offered her to excel as an individual as well as a future professional. According to her, every day spent at the institute is filled with exciting learning experiences that go well beyond management training. Irrespective of your dream, whether it is to be at the top of a corporate ladder or turn entrepreneur, Damini believes that KIAMS that equips you with skills and temperament for the challenging road ahead.
Here’s why Damini thinks all the students at the institute are successful managers in the making.
“Like all management students I joined the B School with some apprehension because our future depends on it to a large extent. But after being here for only for a few months I can confidently say that I am in safe hands.
I would say that it has been a journey of self-discovery for me right from the beginning. I am seeing new sides to my personality, which I didn’t know existed before. I have become more organized and my people’s skills are a lot better today, which works well for the future.
If I were to talk about the first impressions then it would have to be the gorgeous campus. It is so stunning and peaceful, very apt for students to appreciate nature and focus on their studies as well. When things get hectic, you can spend quiet time on your own and just relax.
At KIAMS we learn not only in the classroom but through experiences we have as well. I work with a team of seven for our college publication Chanakya. We have to collect material from students, faculty members and other colleges as well. It is challenging but teaches us a lot about teamwork, management and overall leadership too.
One initiative at KIAMS that I would particularly like to mention is the Business immersion program. It is both intensive and extensive. During the program we are not just students but future managers in real life working environment. That’s how management training should be and KIAMS facilitates that to ensure our industry readiness.”
